Gall Wood 瘿木

瘿木指木质纹理特征，并不专指某一种木材也不是某种树木的代名词，而是泛指所有长有结疤的树木。结疤也称为“瘿结”生在树腰或树根处，是树木天然的病态增生的结果。瘿结有大有小，小者多出现在树身，而大者多生在树根部。

Gall wood refers to the characteristics of wooden texture. It does not refer to a certain kind of wood and is not synonymous with species of trees. It refers to the knots formed at the trunk or root cause by the natural pathological proliferation of the trees. There are big and small knots, usually small one appeared on the trunk and the big one appeared on the root of the tree.
